Galway Club Chairperson , Mr. Pete Morriss has missed the 1st round of Galway’s club championship and will miss the 2nd round of the Winter Rapid ..

In other news .. some strong Galway performances at the Limerick chess open with Carlos scoring 4/6 points (joint 5th) in the open section and in the minors section,.. juniors Zalan, Denis & Andrejs backed up their solid showings at the Galway congress a few weeks ago (with 3.5pts & 3pts).

Nearer to home .. on Saturday Nov. 8th the monthly junior competitions will continue at the Bridge club .. more details here.
