Two Galway Players in World Championships this month

It is rare for a member of the club to represent Ireland in a World Championships, but this month two of us have that honour: Oissine Murphy (who plays abroad under the surname Murchadha) is playing in the World Youth Championships (under-16) taking place in Maribor, Slovenia from 8 to 18 November; and – at the opposite end of the age range – Pete Morriss will be in the World Seniors in Kamena Vourla, Greece (from 13th to 24th).  For further information see the tournament websites, which are, respectively, http://www.wycc2012.com/ and http://www.worldseniors2012.org/.  Some of the games from the World Youth Championships (and probably from the Seniors as well) will be shown live on http://chessbomb.com/.
