Looking to join/play at Galway chess club. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rick
Hi Rick,
I’ve added you to our mailing list, so you should just have received an email with details of our October schedule. If you still have any questions, just drop us an email! Hope to see you down at the club some evening soon!
Best,
Hi, I am from th USA and I am coming to Galway for 10 days with my new bride.
I was entertaining the idea of playing their if you would have me.
My issues would be, sweet talking the wife to allow it 🙂
And I don’t have a fide rating only USCF
Looks like Thursday’s are the days you play? Please let me know anything that could help, thank you.
We will certainly have you, if your wife will release you for the evening. (Or teach her the moves on the plane, and she can play as well …) We do play on Thursdays, but we only have blitz tournaments once a month; if you let us know what your dates are (by email if you prefer) we can try to arrange our monthly tournament to coincide with your stay. Not having a FIDE rating is no problem at all.
