October Blitz results
Our blitz tournament on 25 October had the fewest participants of the year (where were you all?), which was disappointing – but on the positive side there were two newcomers to the club, which was good. The tournament was won by Pete Morriss, with seven straight wins (aided by a good bit of luck); second was Denis Ruchko, returning from his exploits for Ballinasloe in the European Club Cup, with 6 points out of 7. The rating prize was won by one of our two unrated newcomers, Enrique Morales, with 3 points, which was a very good score in his first blitz tournament.
