Nigel Short to play a simultaneous in Ennis

We have just been informed that Nigel Short – who played Garry Kasparov for the World Championship just 20 years ago in 1993 – will be giving a lecture and playing all-comers simultaneously, in Ennis on Tuesday (5 March) evening.  Short did the same last year, and we all found the lecture very stimulating – and one of us (John Cormican) was so stimulated that he went ahead and drew with the Grand Master later that evening.  This is your chance to go one better (or at least try to).  However, the event will only go ahead if enough people sign up in advance; to do that, contact John Cassidy on 087 2495913.
