Halloween Blitz coming up – on Halloween
Since there was such a large and enthusiastic turnout for the regular October blitz, we are adding another, extra, one as a special treat, and to give you something to do on Halloween to avoid being tricked or treated. At present the format will be normal: 7 rounds at a speed of 5 minutes each for the game plus 5 seconds per move, starting at 7.45, although it is still possible that somebody will come up with an exciting Halloween-themed format. (If so, I’ll edit this post.) It’ll be in our usual location: upstairs in the Bridge Centre, St Mary’s Road. If you have any queries, do contact us on galwaychess [at] gmail [dot] com.
