Galway Junior wins Junior tournament in Leinster!

Congratulations to Denis Ruchko, who won the under-12 tournament in the Leinster Junior Championships with an excellent score of 4½ points out of 5.  As Galway isn’t (yet) in Leinster, whatever the hurlers seem to think, Denis is not officially the Leinster champion; but he went one better by coming out ahead of the (joint) Leinster champions, and beating one of them in the last round.  Clearly there is a promising future ahead of Denis (who is currently featuring in our monthly rapidplay tournament) and we look forward to him winning many more tournaments in Leinster – and, of course, elsewhere.
