Galway Chess Congress announced

Galway Chess Congress will take place on the weekend of October 17-19, in the Menlo Park Hotel (the same venue as last year).  Full information about the tournament, and entry forms, can be found here.

For those of you who have been before, everything is much the same as last year, except now you can, if you wish, enter and pay online.

For those of you who have not been before, this is the biggest chess event of the year in Galway: last year over 150 people came here to play chess, from all over Ireland – and indeed, from all over the world, as we had entrants from Latvia and the UK, and in previous years from USA and even Australia.  There are three different sections, which cater to all abilities from grandmaster to beginner.  So check us out, and get entered NOW!
