Cork Rapidplay/Blitz Cancelled
Just to inform you that the Cork World Minigames Rapidplay and Blitz, which was advertized in the “Upcoming National Events” box for the last weekend in August, has been cancelled. The reason, as I understand it, is that hardly anyone had signed up ten days before the event, and so the organizers, faced with a possible large financial loss, decided to pull the event. I’m sure that loads of people would have entered at the last minute; but the moral seems to be that if you leave your entry too late you might find that there is no longer a tournament to enter.
